The entertainers policy with liability protects you against lawsuits alleging injuries or property damage as a result of your tour operations, subject to policy terms, conditions and exclusions. Third-party liability claims arising out the normal actions of business, on stage and off, by both the artists and those in their direct employ. This coverage provides you with the liability protection that every touring entertainer needs. Artist liability can include coverage for the artist’s side businesses as well; record labels, artist management companies, publishing rights, recording studios, etc.
Coverage costs can depend on number of performances, type of show, venue capacity, expected attendance, foreign performances, payroll, gross sales and deductible options.
Optional Coverages:
- Workers’ Compensation: Provides protection to you and your employees (including independent contractors) for on the one the job accidents
- Owned Vehicles: Vans or other vehicles owned by the band or artist
- Non-owned & hired auto coverage: Provides Coverage for rental or borrowed vehicles
- Gear and Instruments coverage: Theft or damage to your owned or rented items
- Third-party property damage coverage: Accidental damage to a rented space
- Crime coverage: Money that you have on the road
- Cancellation coverage: Coverage in case you need to cancel or postpone the show and can include cancellation due to weather
- Nonappearance coverage: Coverage in case an act is too sick to perform or you’re worried the band won’t show up
- Key Person Life Insurance: This provides financial protection when a key artist dies. This type of insurance protects the key artist’s immediate family, and the artist’s team such as members of his band and support team.
- All Cause Death Insurance: This type of insurance protects show performers without their knowledge. This type of life insurance does not require physical examination.
- Image Protection Insurance: This type of insurance protects your business from your spokesperson’s actions that may damage the promotion of your show. This type of insurance protection covers the cost of pulling products off shelves, re-shooting TV commercials, or running public apologies.
